Ngige’s ex-running mate withdraws for Uba

Chief Ralph Okeke, an aspirant for the November 18 gubernatorial election in Anambra State has dropped his ambition for Senator Andy Uba.

Okeke, an erstwhile running mate to Senator Chris Ngige in 2013, who had indicated interest to run for the election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said he had to quit the race to support Senator Uba, who he said was better in all ramifications.

Speaking at the weekend during a rally at Uga in Aguata Local Government Area, Okeke, a former Member of the House of Representatives, urged other aspirants on the platform of APC to emulate his footsteps by considering stepping down for Uba.

“Senator Uba has the pedigree and capacity to win this election for the APC in Anambra State. This is a man who possesses enormous goodwill, a gentleman to the core, a man who keeps his word,” he said.
