According to Desert newspaper, Atakar farmer-militias have murdered two Fulani herders in Zangam village, Kaura LGA of Kaduna State. The incident took place on 5th Feb. 2020.
Adamu Abubakar and Bala Kofa were from Tinariya village in Riyom LGA, Plateau State.
They went to the village to buy roofing wood. They paid for the wood and on their way back they were attacked and shot dead with AK47 guns..
This was an unprovoked attack. A source confirmed to the Desert newspaper on telephone that the victims are not part of any conflict with farmers in the area and there was nothing to provoke the killings. It is a hate crime.
