Breaking: Evans, 5 Alleged Accomplices Appear In Court Again



Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, the alleged billionaire kidnapper arrested recently, appeared in a Lagos court for the third time on Friday, November 3.

Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, was brought to the court with five of his alleged accomplices by heavily armed security agents at about 9:29 am.

He and the five others are currently standing trial before Justice OH Osodi of the Lagos state High Court sitting in Ikeja.

It is noteworthy that Evans continued to look confident in court as he smiled to his lawyer while they both had discussions.

At the time of this report, Evans and his alleged accomplices were in criminal court 18.

The judge walked into the court at about 10:12 am. All defendants are in court. The fifth defendant asked for a clearance of the charges against him including conspiracy and kidnapping with the argument that he is not guilty. The case was later stood down. It is worthy to note that this is the longest we've gone since the commencement of the trial

Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike appeared in court in handcuffs. The report said Evans was brought to the court by heavily-armed, combat-ready policemen. The court presided over by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo also ordered that Evans’ three alleged accomplices be moved to the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prisons, Ikoyi area of the state.
