Chelsea midfielder, Francesc “Cesc” Fàbregas has joined the race in canvassing support for Super Eagles star and Blues teammate, Victor Moses after he was shortlisted among five nominees for the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2017 award.
The five-man shortlist of Borrusia Dortmund and Gabonese star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Naby Keita, Sadio Mane, Victor Moses and Mohamed Salah was revealed during a special live launch broadcast last Saturday in London.
Reacting through his twitter handle, @cesc4official, the Spanish midfielder publicly canvassed votes for the 26-year-old Nigerian superstar. “Vote for my friend @VictorMoses who’s been nominated for the BBC African Footballer Of The Year,” Fabregas wrote in support of Moses.
Moses had a fantastic season with Chelsea after helping the Stamford Bridge side to clinch the Premier League title after he was played out of his traditional forward line position to wing-back under Italian Manager, Antonio Conte.
