If Civil War Erupts In Nigeria These Investments Will End Up Like The Ones We Were Forced To Lose During The Last Civil War-Aunde Emmanuel

War mongers are reading the current political barometer from a shadowy angle of injustice. The north is seeing it purely as a concerted attempt to pull down the Buhari- led government using Nnamdi Kanu as a front. Whatever you wish be ready for the ugly consequences. For me I remain a Nigerian committed to justice, fairness and equity.

I know millions of igbos are also committed to one united Nigeria. There's wide leadership vacuum especially in the South East which is being exploited by aggrieved individuals. The political class has failed to deliver on their sacrosanct mandate to provide good governance. However, there are better alternatives to war or agitation for break-up of the Country.

I don't believe we can fight for a better deal for the igbos flexing muscle with the Federal Government with secessionist campaign. The igbos can strike a fair bargain in Nigeria without the drums of war. The plurality of agitators spoiling for war in the present Nigerian configuration are manifestly oblivious of the dark sides of war. They shut their minds to the fate of millions of innocent igbo citizens and their huge investments in the north and west of Nigeria.

If civil war erupts in Nigeria these investments will end up like the ones we were forced to lose during the last civil war under 'abandoned property' in neighboring Rivers State.
