60-year-old pastor suspected of leading human trafficking gang

Police have paraded four men suspected of being child-trafficking syndicate.
The gang is allegedly being led by a 60-year-old pastor, Raymond Igboanusi.
The Anambra State Police Commissioner, Mr. Garba Umar, disclosed this on Tuesday while parading no fewer than 100 criminal suspects at the police command headquarters at Amawbia.
The CP said the syndicate was arrested on the June 28, 2017 at Idemili area of the state by police operatives, following intelligence report.
Other members of the gang were given as: a 42-year-old woman, Angela Igboanusi; 56-year-old women, Obinigwe Josephine; and a 62-year-old man, Jacob Onwuegbu.
Umar said the suspects allegedly conspired and trafficked 10-year-old boy, Ifeanyi Odili, for N300,000.
Others also paraded on the occasion were kidnap and armed robbery suspects as well as alleged cultists, numbering about 40.
Addressing the press, Umar said the cases were under investigation, after which the suspects will be charged to court.
